Volney Agency is a digital marketing agency that helps local businesses grow and maintain a database of customers through CRM services, Google Ads, Email and SMS marketing, automations, and other miscellaneous marketing services. Our website address is: http://volneyagency.com.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Messages

When visitors leave messages on the site we collect the data shown in the messages form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. 

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a message, the message and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Opt-In policy

By selecting "I agree to receive SMS notifications from this business. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out." on our contact form, or by expressly providing consent over the phone, email, or text message in the event that you initially contact us by text, you are opting-in to receive business- oriented conversational messages and updates via text message from Volney Agency. Messages may be recurring, message and data rates may apply. You can reply "STOP" at any time to unsubscribe from text messages. We do not share opt-in information.

Opt-Out policy

You have the right to opt out of receiving marketing communications from us at any time by: 

- If you wish to opt-out of receiving SMS messages, you may do so at any time by replying "STOP" to any of our messages or by contacting us directly at hello@volneyagency.com.

- If you wish to receive support instructions to opt-out of receiving SMS messages, you may do so at any time by replying "HELP" to any of our messages or by contacting us directly at hello@volneyagency.com.

Location data

We do not collect and share anonymous location data. We do not collect, use, and share precise location data, including the real-time geographic location of your computer or device.

Third-party sharing

We will not share personal data with third-party companies. We do not share opt-in information with third-parties. We will not share personally identifiable information (such as name, address, email or phone) with third-party companies in order to provide you with relevant advertising, offers, or services.

Ad- Tracking

We are not an ad company and therefore do not collect anonymous data.

Ad companies may use and collect anonymous data about your interests to customize content and advertising here and in other sites and applications. Interest and location data may be linked to your device, but is not linked to your identity.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left messages, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
